Latinas in Action (LIA) provide bilingual educational conservation programming for youth to learn about important topics such as plastic pollution, tree mortality, as well as access to information about higher education and career options in STEM fields. In the summer of 2017, LIA launched Every Kid in a Park (EKIP) programs statewide, working with CSU Chico and United States Forest Services to increase access to public parks and lands. EKIP provided approximately 4,000 fourth graders in underserved communities with free admission to federal parks. Read more about it here.
